The high court has nullified the election of Wajir governor Mohamed Abdi following a petition by former governor Ahmed Abdullahi.

Abdullahi and another petitioner Mahamed Abdi moved to court to have the election of Abdi as Wajir governor nullified on grounds that he is not qualified for the job.
In the petition, they argue that the county boss, who ran on a jubilee ticket, falsified his academic documents and he concealed, falsified or altered the documents, when he filed the self-declaration forms at the EACC.
