As if Kenyans haven’t had quite enough of half-wits leading idiots in politics, the rap-gangster lookalike Governor of Nairobi Mike Sonko has selected motor-mouth Miguna Miguna as his nomimated deputy.

Sonko has been without a deputy assistant since January when the previous office holder Polycarp Igathe resigned.

In the elections of August of August 2017 Miguna stood against Sonko for the position of Nairobi governor but lost.

Since then, as only someone living on Mars, or in the depths of the Amazon jungle wouldn’t know, Miguna has declared himself allied to Raila Odinga (who used to be his friend and boss but then became his enemy and a traitor, before he became his trusted colleague once again, but that was before they split…tune in next week)  and appointed himself leader of the National Resistance Movement but that was before Raila Odinga swapped sides and Miguna tried to return to Kenya but got locked in a lavatory. Now this.

Sonko has written to the Speaker of the County Assembly  saying that Miguna Miguna meets all the requirements in the Constitution for becoming Deputy Governor, which is odd because most constitutions have a section prohibiting the appointment of lunatics. Quite how the appointment squares with Miguna not having a Kenyan passport hasn’t been explained.

At least it could be amusing for a while.
