Polls suggest Uhuru still ahead of Raila

Uhuru still leads over Raila Odinga in the opinion polls after the latest polls by Ipsos Synovate exclusive to the Star newspaper indicated that Uhuru Kenyatta remains favorite to win the coming general elections.

According to the polls, Jubilee leader and Kenya’s president, Uhuru Kenyatta would win by 51 percent with only 28 percent voting for former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga. This shows that the gap has widened compared to the last Ipsos survey that show Uhuru leading by 41 percent to Raila’s 29 percent.

12 percent of Kenyans are still not sure who to vote for and if their votes are excluded, Uhuru will win by a larger margin of 58 percent to Raila’s 38 percent.

The polls which were done from June 4th to 18th show that Uhuru would win in round one without a runoff.
