Kenya’s Police Inspector General (IG) David Kimaiyo has officially retired.

Kimaiyo has cited that his decision is based on “personal matters”.

There have been massive calls across the country for the resignation of Kimaiyo and security CS Joseph Ole Lenku following the rampant cases of insecurity that are being witnessed in the country.

JOSEPH NKAISSERY NOMINATED TO REPLACE OLE LENKU’S DOCKET

At the just concluded address to the public, president Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that he has nominated the MP for Kajiado Central, Joseph Nkaissery to replace Joseph Ole Lenku as the Cabinet Secretary for Internal security.

Nkaissery is a retired Major General of the Army of Kenya. He has also served in the Parliament for several terms.
