Passaris to face off with Shebesh for women’s rep seat. Esther Passaris was nominated as ODM’s women’s representative candidate.
Esther Passaris was yesterday nominated as ODM’s flag bearer for the woman rep position in the just concluded Nairobi primaries.
Passaris, who garnered 65,104 votes against her closest rival Beatrice Kwamboka’s 11,296, will be facing off jubilee’s incumbent Rachael Shebesh, who also secured her party’s ticket in the primaries held last week.
Passaris, famed for her “adopt a light” programme joined ODM after shelving her gubernatorial ambitions with her anticipated new political outfit Harambee party.
The chairman of the Student Organization of Nairobi University
(Sonu), Babu Owino also clinched the Embakasi East parliamentary ticket (6,093 votes) while businessman Steve Mbogo emerged top in Starehe constituency (5,697 votes).
Other winners of the ODM primaries in Nairobi include;
Abdulkadir Mohamud Omar (Kamukunji, 2,782 votes), George Aladwa (Makadara, 5,385 votes), Ken Okoth (Kibra, 7,712 votes), and Tom Onyango (Embakasi West, 1,241 votes).
