No timescale has as yet been given for the new start date for the ‘Third identifier sticker’.
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) had announced that they would today implement plans to force over 2 million motor vehicle owners to display a ‘third identifier sticker’ on their vehicles at a cost of Sh700 but the introduction of the new sticker has been postponed.
Even Sunday’s papers carried news of the NTSA’s announcement that the new sticker would be mandatory from today on new vehicles but the Authority rushed out a statement during the day that this would not now be so.
