Moses Otieno Kajwang’ wins Homa Bay Senator’s seat. The by-election had been called after the death of Kajwang’s brother and predecessor.
KAJWANG WINS BIG FOR ODM
Moses Otieno Kajwang’ won yesterday’s Homa Bay senatorial by-election by a huge margin over his rivals. Kajwang’ takes over the seat from his brother Gerald Otieno Kajwang’ who died on 18 November, 2014.
The electoral commission’s final provisional electronic results from 878 polling stations gives Kajwang’, who stood for the seat on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, 127,370 votes. His closest rival, Philip Okundi of the Maendeleo Democratic Party, gained 27,671 votes.
