Deputy President President William Ruto, according to the poll, currently holds the lead in nine out of ten of Kenya’s regions.
An opinion poll sponsored by Radio Africa Group has William Ruto on 45.6 percent support for president and Raila Odinga 28.6 percent.
Compared to a similar poll conducted in July, Ruto is up from 42.7 percent and Odinga up from 14.2 percent.
All other candidates currently vying for the presidency (Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Gideon Moi) could only muster 3.6 percent of the vote between them.
‘Undecideds’ account for 14 percent or respondents and 3 percent said they would not be voting.
72.7 percent of respondents said they would prefer new leaders to vote for.
The opinion poll was conducted between November 10th and 17th and the results drawn from 3,153 respondents across 47 counties.
