Integrity case verdict: Kenyatta and Ruto innocent until proven guilty

The High Court of Kenya has just ruled against a petition brought by civil society groups challenging Uhuru’s and Ruto’s elligibility to stand for election.

The five judges stated it did not have the jurisdiction to exercise the judgement and that the petitioners had  not explored all avenues to remedy before lodging the petition.

They upheld the principle of “Innocent until proven guilty”

The petitioners should bear the costs involved.
