Final Election Opinion Polls: Latest Surveys Give Odinga Slight Lead

Three opinion polls by Infotrak, Consumer Insight and Strategic Research, commissioned by The Nation Media Group, suggest a slight lead for Raila Odinga (Cord Alliance) over his main rival Uhuru Kenyatta (Jubilee Alliance) in the race for Kenya’s presidency, with only six days to go to polling day. The most recent poll by Ipsos Synovate gave a very small lead to Kenyatta.

SECOND PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE: POLL BOUNCE FOR KENYATTA

A Consumer Insight poll taken among 1,044 viewers straight after Monday evening’s second televised presidential debate found support among the audience for Uhuru Kenyatta rising from 33% at the start of the debate to 38% at its conclusion.

Kenyatta was the only candidate to gain support during the evening. Support for Raila Odinga dropped by 1% from 38% to 37% among the audience surveyed.
