The Chief government pathologist has said that all the 10 victims of the Fly Sax plane crash died of similar injuries.

According to Dr. Johansen Oduor, the bodies were found with similar injuries on the head, chest and limbs.

All the 10 bodies were found on Thursday afternoon, deep into the Aberdares forest in Njabini, where the plane crashed, reportedly after hitting one of the hills. The plane’s wreckage was found below the Mugongo wa Njogu Hill, or the Elephant Point which is popular with tourists and Christians who worship inside the forest.

The search and rescue mission took 48 hours, to the disappointment of families of the victims, due to bad weather.

The plane, which was headed to Nairobi from Kitale, went off radar on Tuesday evening. It was supposed to land at Wilson Airport but was re-routed to JKIA due to bad weather.

The Aberdares route is said to be one of the most dangerous routes especially at this time of the year.

The Air Accident Investigations Department has launched investigations to establish the cause of the Fly Sax plane crash.
