Citizen TV news anchor Jackie Maribe recorded her statement at the Kilimani Police Station where she was also grilled by DCI following the arrest of her fiancée Joe Irungu “Jowie” over the murder of 29-year-old Monica Kimani.
Citizen TV news anchor Jackie Maribe recorded her statement at the Kilimani Police Station on Thursday, where she was also grilled by Director of Criminal Investigations following the arrest of her fiancée over the murder of 29-year-old Monica Kimani.
Maribe allegedly told the police that she never knew Monica until her death, which she even reported on a news briefing.
Ms Maribe’s fiancée Joe Irungu “Jowie” was arrested on Tuesday and according to the police, he is the prime suspect in the murder of Ms Kimani, who was found murdered in a bathtub in her apartment in Kilimani, with her throat slit.
Jowie is said to have a gunshot wound, which police are yet to establish if it’s really a gunshot wound” and is among three men who were last reported to have been in Ms Kimani’s house the night she was brutally murdered.
Joe told the police that he was shot by three men outside Maribe’s apartment and that she allegedly drove him to the hospital for treatment.
