Corona Virus cases in the country now stand 32,364 as of Sunday, 23rd August, after 246 new cases were recorded after an analysis of 4,179 samples.
“Today, 246 people have tested positive from 4,179 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing to 32,364 the number of confirmed positive cases,” said CS Mutahi Kagwe.
Out of the eight 246 news cases, 157 are male and 89 female and the youngest patient is a year old while the oldest is 87 years old. There was also 8 foreigners in the number of new patients.

According to Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe, 217 patients have recovered from the disease, with 178 being from the Home-Based Care program, while 39 have been discharged from various hospitals.

Nairobi accounted for 78 of the cases, Kajiado 24, Kiambu 22, Nakuru 20, Busia 17, Trans Nzoia 17, Machakos 16, Kirinyaga 12, Kisii 11, Kisumu 8, Mombasa 6, Embu 3, Garissa 2, Nyeri 2, Nyamira 1, Kakamega 1, Isiolo 1, Kitui 1, Kericho 1, Murang’a 1, Kilifi 1 and Tharaka Nithi 1.
Kenya has so far tested 421,983 people for Coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health has been providing daily updates of Covid-19 in the country.
