Thomas Minito is dead, his body found under Athi River bridge

The bodies of two of the three missing children of a Kanu MCA candidate for Kapsoya ward, Uasin Gishu county have been found floating in the river Nzoia.

The children went missing on Saturday and their father James Ratemo told the police that Clifford Nyambane (6), Dan Nyamweya(5) and Glen Ongagi (3) were on their way to Eldovil Seventh Day Adventist Church, 500 metres from their home when they disappeared.

Missing MCA Thomas Minito found dead

Churo-AMaya ward representative Thomas Minito was also found dead in Ol Donyo Sabuk, Athi River, on the morning of May 19.

According to the police the body of Minito, who has been missing for five days, was a discovered by a boda boda rider informed officers at the Ol Donyo Sabuk police station that he had found a body in River Athi, just under the bridge.

The officers said the body had visible head, neck and hand injuries, indications that the victim may have been strangled to death.

It is at this same river where bodies of the late human rights lawyer, Willie Kimani, his client and taxi driver’s bodies were discovered following their brutal murder in July this year.
