TRUCK AND BUS COLLIDE HEAD ON ALONG ELDORET-NAKURU HIGHWAY

At least 36 people have been declared dead after a truck and a bus collided head on at Migaa along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway. Eye witnesses have said that the bus travelling from Busia was speeding on the wrong side of the road when the accident happened.

28 bodies have so far been pulled from the bus and both the truck driver and his loader were killed in the crash.

Injured survivors from the 46 passengers who were aboard the bus have been taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital and others to the Nakuru Level Five Hospital.

The bodies of the dead have been taken to Nakuru County mortuary.
