Kenya Airways Launches Additional Flights to London

National Carrier Kenya Airways has added additional flights from Kenya to London, following the removal of Kenya from the UK’s Covid red list travel ban.

The Kenya Airways additional flights from Nairobi to London are also much cheaper, starting from as low as Sh88,775 on a roundtrip.

With Kenya off U.K.’s Covid-19 red to amber list of countries, we couldn’t be more excited to introduce additional flights. Starting 11th October 2021, you can now fly to London and back every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday,” KQ said.

Travelers can either book their KQ flights to London from Kisumu, Mombasa or Nairobi.

Flight tickets from Mombasa to London will go for  Sh104,370 while Kisumu to London is Sh104,080.

UK moved Kenya to the Amber list from the Red List of countries in September. The red list tag meant that travelers from Kenya were denied entry into the UK while Britons returning home from Kenya were required to do a 10-day quarantine in hotels, which was quite expensive.

The United Kingdom had posted Kenya in the Red List in April this year following the surge of the highly contagious Covid-19 Delta variant in the country.
