Kenya Airways has launched direct flights from Nairobi to Geneva and also re-launched flights to Rome, Italy. It will now operate 25 weekly flights to five destinations in Europe and a total of 55 destinations globally.
The National airline, KQ, has launched direct flights from Nairobi to Geneva and also re-launched flights to Rome, Italy.
According to Kenya Airways chairman, Michael Joseph, this route will allow the development and growth of stronger relations between Nairobi and Geneva as well as the development of our economies.
“Geneva is a global hub for diplomacy & banking which hosts a number of international organizations in the world including the UN. This complements Nairobi which is Africa’s hub for the UN among other international agencies,” said Michael Joseph.
Hon Najib Balala, Cabinet Secretary for Tourism & Wildlife said the flight is an achievement this year in the tourism sector for both our countries.
“This route will boost tourism for Kenya and Switzerland and give tourists more travel options,” he said.
Swiss Ambassador to Kenya, Ralf Heckner also lauded the introduction of the Kenya Airways direct flight to Geneva, saying it will take the relationship between the two countries to new heights.
