Kenya Defence Forces in Somalia

he Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) today has kicked a countrywide personnel recruitment exercise.

KDF will be targeting to recruit servicemen, constabularies, and tradesmen.

According to The Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lt Gen Joseph Kasaon, who was speaking during the launch of the recruitment at Defense Headquarters, they are seeking to recruit 3,000 recruits.

The exercise will be conducted by 16 teams in 47 counties from today to June 14th.

Kasaon said that the KDF recruitment will be free, fair and voluntary and asked the public to report any misdeeds/ interference in the recruitment process through the prescribed number (0726419706).

Those seeking to be recruited as technicians must have a minimum of mean grade C (plain) in KCSE.

Artisans should have a minimum of mean grade D plus in KCSE and either a relevant certificate with Government Trade Test Grade II or Craft II from a recognised institution. All candidates are required to bring with them current original National Identity card and academic certificates/testimonials.

According to the schedule, the exercise will begin in Nyeri, Laikipia, Bomet, Samburu, Narok, West Pokot, Kwale, Lamu, Kiambu and Taita Taveta Counties.
