The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has released a free toll number,1551, where Kenyans can now report graft-related incidents.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has released a free toll number,1551, where Kenyans can now report graft-related incidents.
Kenyans can call the number free of charge between Mondays – Friday during working hours of 8.00 am to 5.00 pm to report corruption incidents.
The anti-graft body also notified Kenyans that they can also report corruption-related incidents at any Huduma centers countrywide.
EACC has also cautioned citizens to be beware of fraudsters issuing fake integrity clearance certificates, saying it doesn’t charge for any of its services.
The agency further disclosed that the self-declaration forms can be found in all the Huduma Centers countrywide.
On September 2, 2022, the agency directed all the leaders who were elected on August 9, 2022, General Election to declare their wealth within their first 30 days in office.
Former Governors Charges with Economic Crimes
Former governors Mike Sonko and Ferdinard Waititu have been facing graft related cases. Waititu’s hearing kicked of on 19th September and will run until 29th September 2022 while Sonko’s ruling is set for 23rd September.
