Nestled in the vibrant city of Nairobi, the Argyle Grand Hotel, the newest major hotel in Kenya, stands tall as a beacon of luxury and sophistication; From the moment you step into its elegant elevators and lobby, you are greeted with warmth and impeccable hospitality.

My recent experience at the Argyle Grand Hotel for dining and swimming was memorable, and here’s why:

Ambiance and Decor: The ambience of the Argyle Grand Hotel exudes opulence and charm. The contemporary decor, with its subtle African influences, creates a sense of harmony and tranquillity. The tasteful use of earthy tones and rich textures throughout the hotel evokes a feeling of being cocooned in luxury.

Dining Experience: I was here for the dining experience and at this point it would be safe to say dinning at Argyle Hotel was a culinary delight! The hotel offers a diverse range of cuisines, from authentic Kenyan dishes to international delicacies. Whether indulging in a sumptuous breakfast buffet or savouring a gourmet dinner, each meal is a gastronomic journey to remember.

Their pizza is to die for! If seated around the pool like we did, you get to watch it being prepared as the aromas tantalize your taste buds. Argyle Hotel also provides a wide selection of buffets at Ksh 3,000 PP.

We also enjoyed some cocktails at the bar, which offers a relaxed and cosy chill spot.

The icing on the cake for me while dining at the Argyle Grand Hotel was the attentive staff, who made the experience personalized, flawless and memorable.

Accommodation: Even though I did not spend a night at Argyle Hotel, I got a glimpse of one of the  231 rooms the facility has. It looked spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with all the modern amenities one can desire. From plush bedding to state-of-the-art technology, every detail has been carefully curated to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay.

My favourite bit was also the views! The rooms at Argyle Hotel provide panoramic views of Nairobi. The views from the windows especially at sunset are simply breathtaking. I can imagine it’s the same for sunrise.

Facilities and Services: The Argyle Hotel offers many facilities, including a well-equipped fitness centre, a rejuvenating spa, and a sparkling heated swimming pool. Additionally, the concierge service is exemplary, assisting guests with everything from sightseeing tours to transportation arrangements.

Location: Conveniently located off the Nairobi Expressway at the SGR exit, the Argyle Hotel offers easy access to the city’s top attractions, business centres, and shopping districts. Whether exploring the bustling streets of downtown Nairobi or embarking on a safari adventure, the hotel is the perfect base for travellers to experience all the city has to offer.

I will be back at the Argyle Grand Hotel for a staycation to get a feel of that part of the hotel and its spa. Whether you are in Nairobi for business, leisure or just a local like me looking for good food and great service and ambience, I highly recommend this hotel.
