Women rights activists have given the police a 48 hour ultimatum to arrest quack doctor, Mugo wa Wairimu for charges of rape.

The representatives of nine women organisations have threatened to mobilize a nationwide protest if Mugo is not arrested.

MUGO IS A QUACK DOCTOR

The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board revealed that Mugo, who is also a controversial political blogger, is neither a registered doctor or nurse and was therefore operating his clinic illegally.

On Sunday night, Citizen TV ran an exposé where Mugo was caught on camera sedating and raping a female patient.

According to witness accounts in the exposé the indecent acts by “Doctor” Mugo, who was offering free medical care in most occasions, had become a trend.

There has been mounting public pressure on the police on social media and particularly to the DPP to see to it that Mugo wa Wairimu is prosecuted.

The blogger has since the story aired gone missing but he is still posting updates on his social media accounts.
