Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore declares wealth publicly. He has stated that he is doing so to end corruption and graft’s hold on country.
Bob Collymore publicly declared his wealth yesterday, in a move that he says is aimed at boosting the war against graft in the country by increasing transparency in the public and private sectors.
“It is my belief that all of Kenya’s leaders and CEOs should declare their assets in order to embed transparency within their organisations,” he said.
According to a declaration of wealth posted by the CEO, who earns a salary of sh 10M a month, he has a net worth of Sh277.3 million in cash, properties and shares, a revelation that caused a stir on social media where he become a trending topic under the hashtag #BobCollymore.
Kenyans on Twitter using hashtag #DeclareYourWealth challenged leaders and each other to declare their wealth also.
