The Kenya Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (KOGS) has disowned quack medic Mugo wa Wairimu saying he’s never been a registered practitioner.

“To the best of our knowledge, Mr. Mugo is not and has never been an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. His practice bears the hallmarks of social injustice, lack of ethics and defilement of human rights especially the disrespect, violation and inhumane treatment accorded to vulnerable women seeking care,” the society said in a statement.

The Obstetricians further said Mugo’s under dealings is an assault on professional medics earning an honest living, saying he should face the law.

“There is need for him (Mr. Mugo) to face the full wrath of the law and severe recourse meted by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board… We should not allow patients to suffer at the hands of quacks,”.

MUGO WAIRIMU MAKES A COME BACK

Last week an NTV investigative story by Dennis Okari, #QuackClinic, revealed that the now infamous quack medic Mugo Wa Wairimu, who had been arrested and charged in 2015 with various offenses linked to operating an illegal clinic in Githurai 44, Nairobi and raping a sedated woman, was once again operating yet another clinic at Nairobi’s low-income Kayole estate years later.

The quack medic was arrested yesterday in Gachie by flying squad officers after more than a week of being on the run.
