47 Weston Hotel guests treated for cholera. Sufferers are being treated at hospitals around Nairobi where cholera outbreaks are occasional.
At least 47 people who have been attending a science conference at the Weston Hotel in Nairobi’s Lang’ata estate are being treated for cholera.
Dr George Nyale, chairman of the conference has confirmed the cholera outbreak at the hotel, saying that there is no cause for alarm.
The victims are being treated in various hospitals across the city including the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
The 47 guests include doctors are part of delegates attending the The Kenya International Scientific Lung Health Conference organized by the ministry of health.
There has been a cholera outbreak in Nairobi for the past one month with several cases reported across the county. Health officials continue to advice anyone showing any symptoms of cholera to seek medical help immediately.
