The country’s TV and Film industry is mourning the death of veteran actor and comedian Charles Kimani, popularly known as  ‘Masaku’ on popular TV series vitimbi and vioja Mahakamani (KBC).

Masaku together with the likes of Mama Kayai (Mary Khavere ) and the late Mzee Ojwan’g (Benson Wanjau )are celebrated as pioneers of comedy and Kenya’s budding TV industry all together.

In 2013, Masaku was among veteran actors awarded Sh 100, 000 each by the government for their contribution in the industry.
