Harambee Stars Captain, Victor Wanyama voted for Cristiano Ronaldo who went on to win his third (second successively) Ballon d’Or 2014 ahead of his greatest rival Lionel Messi and German Keeper Neuer Manuel.

Wanyama’s first, second and third choice was Cristiano Ronaldo, Yaya Toure and Lionel Messi respectively.

Victor who plays for English Premier League side got his way as Ronaldo won by a landslide receiving 37% of the total votes cast.

The votes are usually cast by the national team coaches, captain and a journalist from each country who is a member of FIFA and each of them voting for first, second and third.

Kenya football team coach Williamson Robert voted for Thomas Mueller, Iniesta Andres and Costa Diego, none of which made it to the top three.

Kenya’s media representative Charles Nyende who writes for the Daily Nation Newspaper voted, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neuer Manuel and Lionel Messi.
