Manchester United confirmed the signing of Jose Mourinho as the new manager to replace the recently sacked Louis Van Gaal. The anouncement was made on Thursday through a statement on their official channels to the delight on many united supporters who have always admired the Portuguese international. Mourinho signed a four year deal with an option of parting ways with the club in the last year.

There has been speculations of his appointment ever since he was sacked by Chelsea as a result of a poor run of games. The ‘special one’ as he calls himself, has won many trophies with different clubs including the Champions twice in his career with Porto and Inter Milan.

Mourinho will seek to revive United back to its former glory days as they have struggled ever since Alex Ferguson left and already two managers have been sacked as a result.

Jose’s first assignment will be a friendly match against Borussia Dortmund, followed by a match against one of his long time rival, Pep Guardiola who is set to join Manchester City.
