BEST: Jackline Vike (Awinja)
If Awinja, as she’s popularly known, is on a red carpet, then you can be pretty sure that she’ll make the best-dressed list.
BEST: Gerald Langiri
In an industry where our male actors will even show up on the red carpet with oversized jeans and uncombed hair, Langiri is one actor who always brings his A game when it comes to style. He kept up his streak of brilliant red carpet appearances at the 2017 Kalasha awards carpet.
BEST: Martin Githinji
Nominee and ultimate winner Best Actor In A TV Drama hit the red carpet wearing this scene-stealing statement jacket by Ashok Sunny, in vivid golden floral brocade.
BEST: Catherine Kamau and Philip Karanja
The newlyweds stepped out at the Kalasha Awards 2017 red carpet dressed to the nines. Celina as you all know her thanks to her role in the popular TV drama Mother In Law won her first kalasha Best Actress In A TV Drama (Sue & Johnie) after 8 years in the industry and she definitely brought her “A game” like she knew that it was going to be her big night.
Her director who doubles as her husband Phil looked sharp in a purple tux.
BEST: Mumbi Maina
Mumbi Maina made the right choice for the 2017 Kalasha awards by sticking to a designer she’s used to working with;Peggy Onyango. The peach gown was definitely a smasher on the red carpet.
BEST: Kamene Goro
She was the host at the red carpet and as such, she led by example; killing it with this elegant, deep green silk gown that accentuated her carves to perfection.
Next to her is the chairman of the Kenya Film Commission Mr Chris Foot, who also stunned in a black Tux, completing the look with a white pocket square.
BEST: Janet Kirina
Another favourite for journalists at the red carpet. She hardly disappoints.
BEST: Edward Nyanaro
He definitely put an effort.
WORST: Joey Muthengi
It’s her first time to host Kalasha Awards and for an event of its kind really Joey!! Really!! You could have done much better! This is an everyday outfit too dull for the red carpet much worse for the host of the night.
WORST: Victor Gatonye and Bilal Maina
As a colleague who was aiding in compiling this list quipped; “these two came out dressed like they were on costumes for a low budget movie”
WORST: Peter Kawa
We are simply speechless!! WHAT IS THIS!!
