Albert Korir And Peres Jepchirchir Win 2021 New York Marathon

Kenya’s Albert Korir and Peres Jepchirchir are the winners of the 2021 New York City Marathon in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.

Olympic Champion Peres Jepchirchir won the 2021 NYC Marathon in 2:22:39 finishing first ahead of compatriot Viola Cheptoo, who came in second, followed by Ethiopian Ababel Yeshaneh.

Jepchirchir is the first athlete to win Olympic gold and the race in New York in the same year.

Korir finished the race in 2:08:22, 44 seconds ahead of Morocco’s Mohamed El Aaraby and Italian Eyob Faniel who came in third.
