GUINEA SECURES CUP FINALS PLACE IN KENYA
Guinea’s 5-0 win over Senegal last night secured for them the final place available in the 2018 African Cup of Nations finals that will be hosted in Kenya, January 11 to February 2 next year.
The 16 finalists are: Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda and Zambia.
DOMESTIC LEAGUE PLAYERS ONLY
Organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and held every two years, the 2018 African Nations Championship in Kenya (also called the Total African Nations Championship 2018, or CHAN 2018) will be the fifth time the tournament has been staged.
