At least 40 passengers have been killed in an horrific crash involving a Western Express bus in Kericho County in the early hours of today.

The bus reportedly veered of the road when travelling along the Muhoroni-Londiani road en route to Kisumu and Kakamega in Western Kenya. No other vehicle was involved.

Eye witnesses report that the bus’s roof was ripped off after the driver lost control and the vehicle plunged down a steep slope at a notorious accident black spot.
