Bus accident in Kenya

The death toll from the bus accident in Narok has by Wednesday morning has risen to 19.

Four people had died on the spot following the accident. At least 50 other victims are nursing multiple injuries and are receiving treatment at the county referral hospital.

The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon after the bus, travelling in  along the Narok-Maai Mahiu road, plunged into the Siyiabei river.

The driver of the bus belonging to Daima Connection Sacco allegedly lost control while trying to avoid an oncoming trailer. The bus was heading to Nairobi from Kendu Bay in Homa Bay county.
