ARSENAL LEGEND TO OPEN UPGRADED STADIUM
Arsenal legend and former France international Thierry Henry is to visit, it has been announced.
Henry is to visit the country for three days in December during which time he will officially open the recently refurbished Ndakaini Stadium in Murang’s County. The trip has been sponsored by Guinness.

In a statement released by Guinness Thierry Henry said: “This will be my first visit to Kenya and I have heard a lot about the huge passion for football there. I cannot wait to meet the dedicated fans and hear their stories.”
Henry was not only one of Arsenal’s leading strikers of all time, he also represented the French national team for 13 years from 1997 to 2010 and was a member of the team that won the World Cup final and the European Championship. He went on to play for Barcelona before retiring.
Whilst in Nairobi Henry is expected to meet some of Kenya’s up-and-coming footballers, meet fans and visit some of the capital’s entertainment spots.
