#ArrestDuale: Garissa attack came from within says Abdullahi. The hashtag has been trending after new theory as to where gunmen came from.
Veteran Lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, popularly known as the Grand Mullah has asserted that the Garissa attack was perpetrated by local militia and not the Al-Shabaab as believed.
The ever vocal attorney took to social media to state his views on the Garissa University College terror attack, which killed 148 students, becoming the worst terrorist assault in Kenya after the 1998 bomblast.
Ahmednasir said that the criminals are known by local politicians from the county.
Mr Abdullahi maintained that the attack was the work of criminal networks operating in the county and known to the politicians.
“The attack in Garissa is obviously the work of Kenyan Somalis. Let us not blame Somalia’s Al-Shabaab the attack in Garissa is obviously the work of Kenyan Somalis. Let us not blame Al-Shabaab. This is local,”
“Let us be truthful to ourselves. Kenyan Somalis and their leaders must stop the senseless killings in northern Kenya. This is local,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) are under the trending hash tag #ArrestDuale calling for the arrest of the Garissa Township MP, who is also the leader of majority in the National Assembly, after he sensationally claimed he knows who the terrorists behind the Garissa attack are.
What Kenyans don’t understand is why the outspoken Duale had to wait for the terrorists to strike if he had a clue on the matter.
Last year, Duale also received a backlash after he publicly called on terrorists who had been detonating explosives in Eastleigh to go do it elsewhere.
“Eastleigh is our umbilical cord. You must arrest anyone who is spoiling Eastleigh — even if he is Adan Barre’s brother. Those who are detonating explosives in Eastleigh should do it elsewhere. Had the one who is detonating explosives here done that in Machakos, do you think the people of Eastleigh would have been harassed?” he uttered.
Other Leaders in the country who include Senator Boni Khalwale, KNUT secretary general among others have also joined the bandwagon in calling for Duale’s arrest.
Boni Khalwale: “We must ask the hard questions to secure Kenya. We are leaving no stones unturned #ArrestDuale”
Boni Khalwale “@ahmednasirlaw was right all along. The enemy is within. Duale must tell us #ArrestDuale @HonAdenDuale.”
Wilson Sossion: “Someone who told me “WALIMU SIO WA MAMAYAKO!” claims to know financiers of Alshabab. Wants 30 days to name them. DO IT NOW #ArrestDuale.”
John Mulili : “#ArrestDuale Remember, He asked Al-shabaab to bomb Machakos instead of Eastleigh?? & went ahead and negotiated with them on BBC.”
Donald B Kipkorir: “Have always said Duale could be the enemy within. And truth be told, all leaders from Garissa and Mandera need vetting. #ArrestDuale”
