The most wanted British terrorism-linked woman, Samantha Lewthwaite – alias ‘White Widow’ – is reported to have been killed in Ukraine.

According to Regnum News Agency in Moscow, the 30 year old terrorist was gunned down by a Russian sniper two weeks ago, although the claim is yet to be verified.

The White Widow has been on the list of the world’s most wanted terrorists for a while. Her profile was increased after reports linked her to the 2013 September terror attack in Nairobi’s Westgate Mall. Last month, it was reported that she had travelled to Ukraine to join the Aidar Battalion. The Aidar Volunteer Battalion considers itself a territorial defence force and it has been operating, however loosely, under a coordinated effort to push Russian forces and pro-Russia separatist forces from Ukraine.

The Russian sniper who killed the White Widow allegedly has a price of nearly one million dollars on his head from Ukrainian special services.

Samantha Lewthwaite is the widow of the London 7/7 suicide bomber Germaine Lindsay, who attacked the London transport network on July 7, 2005, that left 52 people dead. Reports indicate that she has been a top commander within the Al-Shabaab terror group.
