Latest opinion polls show presidential election race is close. Four of Kenya’s major polling firms show neck and neck race.
The publication of four opinion polls this morning show the race for the presidency in Kenya is very close. The surveys by Ispos Synovate, Strategic Research, Infotrak and Consumer Insight suggest the gap in support between Raila Odinga/Musalia Mudavadi and Uhuru Kenyatta/William Ruto is at most two per cent of registered voters.

Support for Martha Karua runs 0.2% to 1.9%; for Ole Kiyiapi 0-0.3%; for Abduda Dida 0-0.1% and Paul Muite 0%.
Ipsos Synovate canvassed 2,500 respondents across 35 counties, February 13-15
Strategic Research canvassed 2,500 respondents across 33 counties, February 14-17
Infotrak canvassed 2,572 respondents across 29 counties, February 15-17

“Which political alliance do you support?”
So the opinion polls suggest that no candidate will win the presidency outright on March 4 and that the decision will run to a second round of elections on April 10.
