“Always remember we promised to be there for our country and it is the time – I pray for you guys”
2012/03/04 FREDRICK WANYONYI: Congrats KDF – May our heavenly father protect you always while on duty as you continue smoking out international criminals from Somalia !!! I wish you mighty breakthrough 2012 and beyond !!!
2012/03/12 KDF 3D DENNIS PETER: Hallo my fellow I know it’s hard but keep on moving we are coming to join you and do a great job. Always remember we promised to be there for our country and it is the time. I pray for you guys and you’re going to make it. Chukueni muwapeleke huko pia they do the job. Tiao. 3rd brigade Dennoh
2012/03/19 Tom Abich: How long should we expect our military to be in Somali taking care of another country instead of our country?
2012/03/23 Isaac Kipruto: May the lord of heaven grant you success as he had granted Israel over their enemies the Amalekites.
2011/10/19 Rabid Noon Lion: In history virtually all national army vs guerilla wars have been failures apart from the Sri Lanka/Tamil Tigers war. The techniques to (occasionally) win against guerillas are far from simple see “think like a guerilla-counterinsurgency lessons from Sri Lanka” in the Harvard National Security Journal. I seriously doubt if Kenya has the resources or abilities to carry this action out to its conclusion. You are correct to point out that a makeshift weapon can be more effective than conventional armaments…they are developed for the terrain and the guerillas know the terrain (think about the Vietcong).
I2011/10/24 MASHEDI: Kenya has to do what it can to see Kenyans protected from any aggressor who wants to play around with our sovereignty. Lets fight until the world screams.
2011/10/24 Collins Marangu: The Kenyan integrity must be protected at all cost. The Al- Shaabab has mistaken Kenyans’ Hospitality to mean weakness.
2011/10/28 Wamalwa: Our Kenyan forces are just on internship or attachment if I may describe this operation, it’s just for exercises! Al-Shabaab is a small crystal that we can blow using our mouth! Let them ask the SLDF! Lets they surrender, they will see smoke!
2011/10/28 Lissa: The Kenyan integrity must be respected under all circumstances. The Al- Shaabab should not take Kenyans hospitality to mean weakness. We are a peaceful country we need peaceful neighbours also for us to make a developed Africa. We don’t want to depend on aid from other continent, but for us to make our dream come true we must be UNITED AFRICA and have a brighter goal.
2011/10/28 Sila: Although we went their late, it is going to be one of the courageous moves we have done so far. It makes me fell proud to Kenyan.
2011/10/31 ADBI GUFU: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha fighting with Al-Shaabab is like fighting with MUNGIKI but any way let pray for our forces be safe from these Al-Shaabab. May almighty God help them.
2011/11/08 Shabbir: Kenyan Military Planners should bear in mind that they are not fighting a(n) ordinary conventional war for which they have been trained but a guerilla warfare in which the Al Shabaab are masters in their own country and the Kenyan military will be bogged down for a very long time like the Americans in Irag & Afghanistan. Even the mighty American war machine had tried in the past to interfere in Somalia but had to leave and are now using countries like Kenya to achieve their Imperialist hegemony
2011/11/18 Kennedy Ndichu: The academicians write for the sake of it and they postulate theories that mostly have been proven not to work in practicality. The comments are just but sounding the fears of the authors but guys there is a job and someone has to do that job and that person is KDF. It doesn’t mean Kenya will fail militarily where Americans have failed. Kenyans are Africans and Africans are naturally good at guerrilla warfare. I believe for those in the know you know it that Kenya is fighting in small highly mobile and heavily armed units that are systematically decimating Al-Shabaab. The units are hunting Al-Shabaab who have scattered in a mmanner showing lack of strategy. This could be the new tactic of fighting such militant groups.
2011/11/23 M Muchiru; Could it another big brothers tactics to put Kenya to war with neighbour for them to get access in oil exploration?
2011/11/30 Charles Kamau: Will we be rivals with Somalia after mission accomplishment? Do we need to deploy our men across all borders to secure our territory and to leave our barrack with less security personnel?
2011/12/02 Wangio Wangio: If God is for us who can be against us. The battle is not for us but the LORD’S! The LORD shall lay a table before us in the presence of our enemies…! May He thunder from heaven against the Al-Shabaab.
2011/12/29 Patrick Castro: The war against Al-Shabaab is not a material war. We are not in Somalia to fight for territory, mineral resources or other resources. We are fighting an ideological war, an ideology that glorifies death and killings, impunity and gross human rights violations. An ideology that is against peace, law and order. To succeed, we don’t just need to beat the Al-Shabaab belligerents, we need to educate the general Somali population on the need to do away with the old ways of life and convictions. They must change their beliefs, we must give them the opportunity to educate their children, provide piped water, electricity and basic health care. That’s why it is a collective international commitment and Kenya Army, despite the doubts over its ability to conduct the operation successfully, gives the international community the best chance ever, of providing lasting peace to Somalia and the Greater Horn of Africa region.
2012/01/02 Immanuel Junior: Kenyan soldiers are winners and with Gods grace we will win.
2012/01/04 Duncan: That’s a true salesmanship, lets teach the Somalis there is a better life out there other than war. KDF& TFG KEEEP IT UP.
2012/01/11 Richard: It has been almost 4 months since Ops Linda Nchi started and so far all our critics have been proven wrong…Our esteemed Kenya Defence Forces were tagged as all manor of things from being naïve to being ill equipped to being down right incapable of such a venture as they are only a career army and not battle hardened. What saddened me is the fact that some of these critics are former army officials who were sharing their knowledge and expertise with fellow Kenyans. But we are still in it and we have seen what they are capable of and we are all extremely surprised and proud of our forces. Nene Buru and the rest now look like bitter x girlfriends of a now very wealthy and successful man…lo unto them. The role of the media on such matters is very clear and we are grateful for all the information they have shared with Kenyans… but it must be insisted that the army derives its mandate from Kenyans. Over the years we have cried out for their help and eventually they came out in a fraction of their full force and surprised the world. So let us show support not only to KDF but to their families in Kenya. I personally have a few of my childhood friends in Somalia and I pray and listen to the news everyday.
2012/01/18 Reuben Wijenje: Congratulations our boys. You are making us proud .God bless you all.
2012/01/28 George Owinow: A job has to be done and it is only the KDF who can do it let’s support them or shut up.
2012/02/17 Muguna Muguna: Action springs not from thought but from readiness to take responsibility. The way to take control is to take responsibility. So far KDF have shown how responsible they are!! Since it is like Al-Shabaab are almost to surrender, are there employed skilled human labour to teach and guide the liberated on good personal care, human rights amongst others??
2012/02/19 FREDRICK WANYONYI: IT WILL BE IN ORDER IF OTHER COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD WILL REINFORCE OUR MILITARY IN SOMALIA, AS THEY PREPARE TO CAPTURE KISIMAYU !!
2012/02/23 COSMAS MUTINDA MWOLOLO: HONGERA OUR SOLDIERS U R DOING A RECOMMENDABLE JOB.KEEP UP DA SPIRIT AND DONT LOSE TARGET.I AM READY 2 REINFORCE U IF NEED BE 2 PROTECT OUR COUNTRY 4 DA BETTER LIVING OF TOMORROW.LETS KEEP AWAY DA ENEMY.TO DA CITIZENS OF KENYA LET HELP OUR SOLDIER IN ALL WAYS
2012/02/24 GILBERT KIPROP: HONGERA KENYAN SOLDERS FOR HARD WORK
