Voters are getting more undecided as election approaches. According to an Infotrak poll, people are getting further from a decision.
The number of undecided voters has grown significantly if the latest Infotrak opinion polls is anything to go by.
Western Kenya leads in the number of undecided voters with 40.4% followed by Coast with 35.5%. Rift Valley comes third with 30.6%, then Nairobi with 29.9, Eastern with 26.6%, Central 24.4% and the least being Nyanza with 14.6%.
This shows that the political parties need to go back to the drawing board in wooing voters from their stronghold again as it is no longer a walk in the park. At the same time they also need to use the opportunity to campaign more in their opponents’ turfs as support is much less cohesive as in previous elections.
In the NASA coalition, who haven’t yet picked their flag bearer, Raila Odinga is the most preferred candidate enjoying a 68.3% support. Kalonzo follows with 13.1%, Mudavadi third with 12.3% and Wetangula trails further with 2.2%. 4% of the respondentsaid they would not vote for any of the candidates despite them supporting NASA.
