The last time a president in Kenya fired his entire cabinet was in November 20005 when former president Mwai Kibaki lost the referendum.
Nairobi, Kenya – President William Ruto has dismissed with immediate effect his entire Cabinet except the Prime Cabinet Secretary held by Musalia Mudavadi.
The president said the change has been informed by the ongoing engagement he has had with the people of Kenya and listening to t he grievances shared, coupled with a reflection of what his Cabinet has been able to achieve.
“Even with the progress we’ve made, I’m acutely aware that the people of Kenya have very high expectations of me, and they believe that this administration can undertake the most extensive transformation in our nation’s history,” he said.
