A team of three students from Strathmore University School of Law, have put Kenya on the global map after they beat Harvard Law School in a Global Law Competition held in Geneva, Switzerland on Saturday.

Strathmore Law becomes the first African team to win the John H. Jackson Moot Court (formerly ELSA) on World Trade Organisation Law.

Luis Franceschi, the Dean Strathmore Law School congratulated the team namely;  Mishael Wambua, Kandalla Maleehah, and Catherine Penda for the big win, saying they have made the school and the country proud.

“Strathmore met Harvard in the final of the 17th John H. Jackson Moot Court on WTO Law in Geneva. It was the 1st time an African team made it to the finals. Strathmore Law won the Moot! Congrats great team! Kenya!” Franceschi said in a tweet.

Participants at the 17th edition of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition were tackling a case on a dispute arising from Certain Measures Related to Electric Vehicles Charging Points and Infrastructure.
