Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, has been voted as Africa’s leading business travel destination, at the 2019 World Travel Awards. BaoBab beach resort was voted as Kenya’s leading beach resort & spa while Diani was crowned its 6th win as Africa’s leading beach destination and Kenya Airways voted Africa’s Leading Airline, Business class.
Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, has been voted as Africa’s leading business travel destination, at the 2019 World Travel Awards.
The Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) was also voted as the leading meetings and conference destination at this year’s World Travel Award. KICC, which was participating in the travel awards for the first time, beat various nominees in the category including Cairo Convention Centre in Egypt, Cape Town Convention Centre in South Africa, Durban Convention Centre in South Africa, Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda, Palais Des Congress Marrakech in Morocco, and Sandton Convention Centre in South Africa.
Durban Convention Center had held the title for the last nine years.
Kenya has hosted some of the prestigious international conferences including, The Blue Economy Conference and UNCTAD.
AFRICA’S LEADING BEACH DESTINATION
BaoBab beach resort was voted as Kenya’s leading beach resort & spa while Diani was crowned its 6th win as Africa’s leading beach destination.
Kenya Airways was also voted Africa’s Leading Airline, Business class (six times in a row) and also Africa’s Leading Airline, Economy class for the second time in a row.
Now in the 26th edition, the World Travel Awards 2019 was held in Mauritius.
