Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms. The world is a better place because you are in it.
Motherhood is a life-changing experience that transforms a woman into a mother, a nurturer, and a protector. It’s an emotional roller-coaster that brings joy, laughter, and tears, all at once. Being a mother is a privilege, a blessing that not everyone gets to experience. It’s a journey of growth, learning, and unconditional love.
It’s important to note that growing up without a mother can have severe consequences. It can
lead to emotional and psychological issues, as well as a lack of guidance and direction in life.
That’s why it’s essential for someone to consider looking for a mentor or a mother figure.
What They Don’t Tell You About Motherhood
Motherhood is not all rainbows and butterflies. It’s a messy, chaotic, and often challenging
journey. From sleepless nights to endless diaper changes, it can be overwhelming at times.
Mothers make sacrifices every day to provide the best for their children. It’s a job that requires
patience, perseverance, and unconditional love.
How would you describe your Mother in three words?
I caught up with five of my friends and asked them to tell me about their moms and here is how
they described them based on the relationship that each one of them has had with their
mothers:
Annie: “My mother is Loving, caring, selfless, and supportive.”
Shem: Well, my mum is Strong, hardworking, very determined and my prayer warrior.”
Essie: “I don’t think she deserves to be called a mother! She is absent, unknown to me and
distant.”
Liz: “Mama is so complicated, emotional and an ungrateful human.
Dano: “Well, my mom is my hero. She is so loving, funny, dedicated and the best and no one
could ever take her place in our family. I love you, mum!”
How Can We Love and Celebrate Our Mothers?
There are many ways to celebrate and love our mothers. We can start by acknowledging their
sacrifices and hard work. A simple thank you or a hug can mean the world to a mother. We
can also give them a break and take over some of their responsibilities. Most importantly,
we can show them that we love them every day, not just on Mother’s Day.
Celebrating Motherhood Every Single Day
In conclusion, let’s celebrate motherhood every day because mothers are irreplaceable, no
matter how imperfect they may be sometimes. Let us acknowledge their hard work, sacrifices,
and unconditional love. And let’s not forget to show them how much we appreciate them, not
just on Mother’s Day, but every day.
As a mother, every time someone asks me about my experience, I always leave them with this
quote, “Being a mother is not about what you gave up to have a child, but what you’ve gained
from having one.” – Unknown
