Raila Odinga calls for Mass Action

Opposition Leader and former Prime  Minister Raila Odinga has today announced the start of a nationwide mass action.

Odinga cited the following reasons as the cause for the mass action;

• High cost of living – which he said is a result of massive looting and the withdrawal of food and fuel subsidies at the height of an ongoing country-wide drought.
• The creation of “unnecessary and unconstitutional” public offices that include those of spouses, daughters, etc, which, Odinga says has further bloated the public wage bill.
• The attempt by president Ruto to divide the country along religious line
• Importation of GMOs

The Azimio leader further announced a  massive procession in Nairobi on March 20.
