The ministry of interior has been reflecting on actionable insights to help accelerate performance improvement in the provision of security & citizen services. “Among the 10 priorities we have agreed on is radical transformation to provide same-day citizen services across the country,” Matiang’i said.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has announced a new plan aimed at transforming access to government services.
According to the CS, who was speaking during this year’s Security Forum in Mombasa, the new 10 point plan will see national identification cards, passports and birth certificates issued on the same day.
“Among the 10 priorities we have agreed on is radical transformation to provide same-day citizen services across the country,” he said.
DIGITAL DRIVING LICENCE
Matiang’i also announced that the manual driving licenses will be phased out by 31 December 2020.
We’ve also undertaken to rationalize issuance of digital driver’s license through the NTSA
& phase out the current manual booklet by 31 December 2020.
The CS said they ministry of interior has been reflecting on what we must change & derive actionable insights to help us accelerate performance improvement in the provision of security & citizen services as directed by H.E. President Kenyatta & as demanded by Kenyans.
