Female legislators have taken the lead in advocating for the killers of Sharon Otieno and her unborn child, to be brought to book.

Migori Woman Rep has called for thorough investigations into  Sharon’s murder and protection of Barrack Oduor, the journalist who had been abducted alongside Sharon Otieno.

Sharon Otieno, a Rongo university student, who was seven months pregnant, was found dumped in a forest late last night.

According to her father,  Sharon had been stabbed severally with a sharp object and part of her right thigh burnt.

Sharon allegedly had an illicit affair with Migori governor Okoth Obando.

According to the Nation Media Group journalist Barrack Oduor, the Personal Assistant to Migori Governor Okoth Obando one Michael Oyamo is the man that lured him and the late Sharon Otieno to the death trap.

Oduor told the police that he managed to jump out of a moving vehicle to escape from the abductors.

Sharon had been reported missing from Monday until on Wednesday when her mutilated body was discovered in a Kodera forest in Homabay County.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Eric Kinoti dispatches a special team of detectives to probe the murder of Sharon Otieno and attempted murder of NMG reporter Barrack Oduor.

The 16-member team comprises of detectives drawn from the Homicide Investigation Unit, the Special Crimes Prevention Unit and Serious Crime Units.
